Spanning both floors of the gallery, the exhibition presents a new series of ceramic sculptures and casts of the artist's own body, alongside a video work with new footage from Versailles. Together, these works extend Hjort Di Fabio's topographic gaze, zooming in and out, tracing the intersections of nature and culture.
The exhibition includes two photographic series by the late Danish artist Niels Nedergaard, unfolding a transgenerational dialogue on ornamentation, landscape, and the body. The photographs have been reprinted in collaboration with Kunstmuseum Brandts and The David Collection.
The exhibition text is written by art historian Johan Zimsen Kristiansen, who will soon publish Imellem mænd, a forthcoming book on Danish queer art from the 1970s to today, featuring Di Fabio's work.
We hope to see you for the opening at Vesterbrogade 75, 1620 Copenhagen from 5 - 8 pm.
