Elisabeth Molin
Biography
Elisabeth Molin's practice engages various media of objects, videos and photographs, brought together through performance, installation and writing. Writing has been a key stimulus for visual and audio work, but it works both ways. She's is interested in when gaps appear, in stumbling across the uncanny, in uneasy moments which often belie the nearness of death. She has an acute sense of how to stage the almost non-existent, always with a gentle yet probing sense of humour.
Molin holds a BA in Fine Arts at Chelsea College of Art and an MA in Fine Arts from Royal College of Art in London and has shown work, among other placed, at KW Institute, Berlin; Wiels, Brussels; No Show Space, London; Flat Time House, London; Belmacz, London; PUBLICS, Helsinki; Den Frie Udstillingsbygning, Copenhagen; ISCP, New York and Columbia Teacher's College, New York. She has done residencies at ISCP in New York, at Arthub Copenhagen and at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.
