Join us for the release of the first major monograph dedicated to Kristian Touborg's practice. Over 100 works from the past decade are presented alongside photographs from the artist's daily life - light caught in water, lights in the dark, plants, people, materials, and moments captured in passing.
These images do not explain the paintings. They trace the gaze behind them, showing how motifs, moods, and visual experiences migrate slowly from everyday snapshots to the canvas.
Touborg studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. His practice centres on light, perception, materiality, and the transformation of images between the digital and the physical. Essays by Barry Schwabsky (The Nation), Martin Herbert, Jeppe Ugelvig, and Cecilie Marie Dalhoff (Museum Jorn). Published by Piano Piano.
The book will be available for purchase at the event.
