Danish artist Theodor Nymark's (b.1996) exhibition 'Sirenia' opened at Servando Galería de Arte in Havana, Cuba. Featuring a new series of works produced by the artist over the past month whilst staying at Brigade's residency in Havana, the exhibition explores the socio-cultural, ecological and symbolic significance of the manatee within a Caribbean context. Prioritising sustainable production methods, the exhibition will also be accompanied by SIRENIA a new video work by Nymark produced in collaboration with Cuban-based archeologists, marine biologists, musicians and photographers.
The exhibition remains on view through January 2022.
